"I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
- Pray for the Cabinet, party room, and all MPs as they consider the recommendations of the Ruddock report - asking that they may be wise and just in the decisions they make.
- Pray for Freedom for Faith as we respond to many media requests, and for briefings of politicians and faith leaders in the coming months. Pray that we may speak truthfully and graciously in what can sometimes be a contested and ugly political debate.
- Give thanks for the new churches who have partnered with us - their partnership with us frees us up to do what we do.
- Pray for the persecuted church in North Korea. There may be 200,000 North Koreans who are imprisoned for their faith. Ask that they will be faithful and persevere and that the regime will release them or be replaced.
