"I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
1. Pray for a fair and balanced coverage of this religious freedom in the media. Pray for journalists who are working under pressure and time poor. Ask that we might have more good contacts in the media so that the case for freedom might be explained well.
2. Pray for the ALP as they consider the terms of the report and recommendations. They haven’t seen it yet, so are waiting like the rest of us. Ask that they might understand the concerns of people of faith and that they might support good laws that are just.
3. Give thanks for the fresh talks on the Korean Peninsula. Ask that the thawing of relations may open the doors for the 100,000 or more North Korean Christians who have been imprisoned for their faith. North Korea consistently tops lists of the worst countries to be a Christian. Pray for the perseverance and faithful witness of our brothers and sisters there.
4. Give thanks for the growing support for Freedom for Faith. Ask that God might equip us to do the work we can for His glory.
